The changing landscape of the Maremma region over the years, as told by its representation in paintings, its symbolic fauna, and the landscapes themselves: the tufa cliffs with their Etruscan tombs, the “romantic” pasture land stretching out north and south of Rome, the medieval moors and copses , the enclosed fields of the Renaissance, the malarial swamps before they were drained, all the way up to today’s intensive agriculture.
Broadcasted as part of the program GEO | RAI 3 in 1996
